For Wireless-G and Wireless-B networking only, select Standard - 20 MHz Channel. If you are not sure which radio band to select, keep the default, Auto. Select this channel for Wireless-N, Wireless-G, and Wireless-B networking. The WRT150N supports Wireless QoS (WMM) and Internet Access Priority. There are four (4) levels priority: High, Medium, Normal, or Low. The LED lights up when the router is connected to a device through the corresponding port. If the LED is flashing, the router is sending or receiving data over that port. If the LED is flashing, the router is sending or receiving data over the wireless network. You only have the non-exclusive right to use the Software in accordance with this Agreement. All rights not expressly granted to you by Belkin under this Agreement are hereby reserved by Belkin. I will say the setup is going to be a challenge for someone who knows nothing about networks or WEP security. Setup is done from a browser and there are several screens where information has to be entered to secure the wifi network. If you aren't sure about these, find a knowledgeable friend who can help set it up. I can't comment on Linksys tech support because I never needed to call them. Then, just short of a year, the router stopped working. Although I had the product less than a year, Linksys refused to honor the warranty, claiming that some date other than my acquisition of the product triggered the warranty. Quite simply, Linksys doesn't stand behind their products, and their customer service representatives are smug, condescending and unhelpful. My first wireless router was a old NetGear 802.11B only but it worked OK. I then went back to NetGear, and got an WPNT834 thinking the range would be greatly improved. I limped by with it for a couple of years - the range wasn't that great, it was buggy (VPN support had problems) and it would crash and lock up. Even with the latest firmware it worked poorly. The past few weeks it got really bad, dropping out every 10 minutes (perhaps because we have an additional PC on the wireless network) making it pretty much useless. The Linksys WRT150N so far has performed flawlessly. It was very easy to set up, has a nice web interface for configuration, and the range and speed is much much better than the NetGear. It works great with my new pre-N laptop, an 802.11G wireless ethernet adapter with a few devices attached, as well as a MacBook, and 2 other PC's, and a Linux server connected to the LAN. I upgraded the firmware for good measure, but even with the shipping firmware it worked perfectly. I've only used it a few days, but so far so good!I always had problems with it. It would not stay connected and needed to be rebooted all the time. Belkin said it was my ISP, then they said it was interference, etc., etc.

Finally after a year of this, I decided to try this router. Figuring if it was my ISP or interference, I could always send it back. The installation took 5 minutes and I have not had a problem since. The Belkin now sits in the corner waiting for me to trash it. BTW - If you get a Linksys pre-N adapter too, you will get some great speeds. I get up to 170 Mbps with the notebook one.The install CD assumes you are clueless about what a router does, so it avoids requiring you to manually log-in to its browser interface to configure it (Unless you're doing anything other than hooking this router directly between your computer and a cable or DSL modem). It's very hard to guage wireless data rates due to so many different factors.Set up was a breeze. I did have a problem with my wireless connectivity but that was because my internet service provider (ISP) set up my modem wrong. After calling my ISP three times to get my internet working properly and getting no results I thought maybe linksys could help me out. I must say that the customer service was amazing. They took my call immediately and very professionally took me step by step to figure out what the problem was. Essentially they diagnosed and solved the problem and it had nothing to do with their product. Turns out my ISP hooked up both my ethernet and USB cords to my computer and the software for my ethernet wasn't properly installed. You just don't find customer service reps who diagnose and try to solve problems that don't relate to thier product specifically anymore. Since it's been up and running I've had flawless wireless connectivity and kickin back with my XBox Live and PSP. The signal reaches all over the house and givin the size of the house it's very impressive. Highly recommend this product! The Welcome screen will appear on your monitor. Most times you'll find this IP on the bottom or back of your router device. But if you are not able to find this IP on your router or in the user manual then you can try some methods to get the router I. In the list below we listed all known router IPs for the manufacturer Linksys. But some are available by an default URL as well. This is very useful if you don't know your default router gateway. This can be done easily by clicking on the reset button at the back or at the bottom of your router. If you hold down this small button for approximately 20 seconds, (you may have to use a toothpick), then your modem will get restored to the factory settings. What you need to keep in mind is that when you reset your modem, you will lose your connection online. It is therefore better to take an expert's assistance in this regard. Note: If you have not enough information, it is obviously recommended that you should get help from a person who has all the knowledge about this topic. There are 2 additional ways that you can determine your router's IP address: You can use any web browser you like to login to the Linksys WRT150N. In this example we'll use Internet Explorer.
